For the last 10 months, The Recess Bell: On Air, our radio show that airs every Thursday evening from 8pm-10pm on 90.3 FM, has covered every type of topic that you can think of. Popular culture, sports, music, politics, and everything else that constitutes as news.

Since the Election Day results in November that brought Donald Trump back to the White House as President in January, the current administration has been the focus of a whole lot of conversation on this show.

Listen, I know how it gets. Things are stressful enough for countless Americans. Most of us turn to TV, radio, podcasts, and other forms of media to serve as a distraction from our difficult realities. I'm certainly no stranger to this.

At the same time, though: as radio hosts, I feel that we have a duty to not only entertain, but to inform. Thankfully, the Trump administration has made it remarkably easy for us to do both in seamless fashion.

Over the last 7 months (and counting), the President has issued a countless amount of executive orders. He has picked fights with the Democrats, federal judges and even his fellow constituents. Piece by piece, he has served towards the interests of himself and his billionaire buddies while simultaneously stripping lesser fortunate Americans of their civil rights, their healthcare, and their peace of mind.

I hate to say this, but all of this has resulted in a consistent gold mine of content to sift through and discuss. You know I'm right. He moves like a mad man, but does it in a fashion that's as jocular as it is deplorable.

The latest chapter of this saga? The Epstein Files.

Jeffrey Epstein, if you're (somehow) not aware, was a very successful billionaire by way of finance. While building his empire, he tap danced around law enforcement for years on a number of fronts, but most notably his abuses towards underaged women. Epstein was arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and died a month later by suicide -- a hanging in his jail cell. (Allegedly! Conspiracy theorists, I hear you.)

There has been serious skepticism about Epstein's suicide and whether or not he was actually strangled to death. The government has done very little to assuage this widespread skepticism. Those same people must now feel that their intelligence has been disrespected beyond measure following the Trump administration's most recent behavior concerning Epstein's criminal clients.

After telling the public that the Epstein client list was "sitting on [her] desk to review" as part of a "directive by President Trump" in February, Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice stated on July 7th that there was no client list and that Epstein definitely killed himself.

The FBI also released "raw" security footage of Epstein's cell the night he passed -- only that raw footage was later found to have a clock jump from 11:58pm to 12:00am.

Have you ever been gaslit by your partner? Remember how that lack of consistency, honesty and transparency made you feel? Yeah. Consider that, but on the scale of millions of Americans.

People of all ages, races, and political parties aren't happy, and this was the subject of Hour 1 of Thursday's TRB: On Air. Included is my own personal list of Trump confidants that are now publicly speaking out against him and his camp over their alleged protecting of rich pedophiles.

In Hour 2 of the show, the Wheel of Topics was spun, where my co-hosts: Niki, Lay, Kory, Gina and I tackled several subjects. Among them: the Nicki Minaj/SZA spat, how "stan culture" is erasing people's ability to be subjective, and how people's relationship with AI defines how dangerous or helpful it really is. Is AI just a mirror for one's motivations, and nothing more?

Additionally, I gave the show's weekly Sports Report, where I recapped Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game drama, detailed two very surprising NBA moves that involve two aging scoring guards, and discussed NFL players getting into legal trouble as the offseason winds down.

Enjoy the show! Don't forget to follow and rate the show as well. It's available on all podcast platforms.
